Dear Casimir Pulaski Day,

You are perhaps my favorite day of the year, when I am in Illinois.  Outside of Illinois you're just the first Monday in March, which is currently Monday of midterms.  It's so much fun to explain today to people not from Illinois, they don't get it, and then you tell them that you have the day off of school, just for a Polish general in the 18th century.  It's a thing of beauty.

This may have been the best Casimir Pulaski day on record, and I didn't even have the day off of school.  It was just one of those days where everything came together.  Discussions were powerful, my outfit felt right, rehearsal was breezy, and I picked up reading for spring break.  The only off moment was a moment during yoga where I was clearly off balance.  Other than that...

love,
hannah
