Dear March,

Since February was a short full of surprising intensity, it is my hope that March (though it can maintain a similar level of intensity) be less surprising.  I cannot take any surprises.  I am planning my life minute by minute these days.

Dear ustream,

I think you are the coolest thing happening on the internet right now.  I am sitting in my room, trying to plan my homework, and keeping an eye on what's happening in the Wisconsin capital at the same time.  And there are 7675 other people doing the same thing.  It's incredible.

User-generated content has advanced to the point where it can be sent out live across the internet.  It blows my mind that I am sitting here watching as they chant "The people united will never be defeated."  It's amazing.  And the police are supposed to evacuate the capital soon and I am going to be watching it.

Dear My Girlfriend's Boyfriend,

You are a horribly titled movie.  With a twist! I can't say that I saw either of those plot twists coming.  *SPOILER ALERT* The wealthy guy is the character being written by the real boyfriend.  It is not a tale of polyamory as I thought.

However, the reason that this twist was rather weak is because the character boyfriend was boring and two-dimensional.  That's why I couldn't believe that she was deciding between the two.  And in the end it was all about fertility... Interesting.

Not quite the four star review that Netflix predicted.

Dear Greek,

I am very sad that you are ending your run in just a few weeks.  You're crazy, and a little bit trashy, and I love you.  Just for the record, I've always been a Casey/Cappie fan,  never ever a fan of Evan Chambers.

I've been watching you in marathon streaks recently.

I never wanted a greek system in my real life, but I enjoy it in television.

Dear bell hooks,

You see, I should have finished your book review yesterday.  Perhaps two days ago.  But it's too late for that now.  I'm stuck.  Two pages, perhaps, to go and I'm running out of sophisticated ways to say simple things.

I really enjoyed your book.  But why?

And what do some other lovely ladies have to say about it?

Snow day was wonderful, but this week should hurry up quick.

Dear Rufus Humphrey,

You are the most pathetic character on television right now.

Better than last week, but sill, no good.  You used to be so cool, and now... you're a puppet.

Dear snow day,

You're real? You're happening? What?

Truly, I never thought that I would have a snow day at school at Macalester.  A professor said that in his twenty-one years here, there has been one snow day before this point.

This winter is simply the season of snow days in unbelievable places.  Evanston and Macalester.

Tomorrow is time to play in the snow! And work more on my paper...

Dear first paper,

How is it possible that we are not acquainted until the fourth week? Really? The first time I open Word for class, it's four weeks into the semester? That's bizarre.  Improbable.

That's what I get for taking three theater classes.

The moon was, again, amazing tonight.  It's Cosmo's moon! Tonight, it was huge, maybe the biggest moon I have ever seen.

Of course, I'm watching Pride and Prejudice while I'm writing this response... That's what this semester is all about: me wasting my precious free time watching stupid things.  Well, not stupid, just not the best choices.  Class doesn't start until 10:50...

The makeup for Mac's Antigone was pretty incredible.  They all were really intense raccoons.

Dear flat,

I built you! With a friend!

Masterfully!

I'm not kidding.  We kicked the flat's butt.  (Except for the muslin, which was the simplest part.) We got a "pretty good" from Tom, which is about as good as they come from him.

A not bad start to my Tuesday.  (Tuesdays still suck.)

Dear Audre Lorde,

Your words are lighting my heart on fire.  They are quite something.

I have spent the evening switching between animated classics and Audre Lorde.  Actually, animated classics is gracious.  Some were not so good.  The Swan Princess?

Dear mechanical pencils,

We spent a lot of time together today.

My family might come visit me in two weeks! That would be incredible!

I wore perfume last week so that I wouldn't smell sawdust on me all the time.  It has been absorbed into my watch band, so sometimes I can smell it, and it makes me unbelievably happy.  Anything for a little reminder of peace and calm.

I'm trying to keep my sanity on a tight leash.  It can't get too far away from me.

Come back to me.

I need you.

Dear fence,

Over the last two days, I built a fence.  With wood, and metal, and screws and lots of holes that had to be drilled, it was built.  And though I had the assistance of man friends and teachers, I did it.  It is finished.

I am quite pleased with myself.  And I am continuing to go into the mess of tech hours head first.  I will not surrender.  I will work so hard for the next five weeks.

It's going to be amazing.

Dear this weekend,

Can you just hurry up? I want to be done with you.  There are too many things I have to do, and too many things that I would rather do, so let's just be done.  Once we're done we can move on to next weekend, which should be better.

I need a time turner.

Dear Old Jews Telling Jokes,

You are an excellent distraction.  The jokes might not always be so good, but always entertaining.

It's cold in my room! How did this happen? It's always too warm in here.  Always, though we were able to turn the heat down a little in the other room.

Spring semester is just not going to be a good time for blogging.  My schedule is nuts.  I'm trying to embrace it fully.  Fully! I love my schedule!

Thursdays are my only day where there's any time, and both Thursdays so far I have spent much of the morning in bed, thinking about how I should do other things.  Like read Angela Davis.

Ah! When will these neighbor troubles end?
